Making a Bee Hotel

Most people don’t realize that over 4,000 species of bees live in North America.  Many of the same factors that threaten honey bees threaten wild bees.  Honey bees just have better publicists so you hear more about the struggles of honey bees.  People can help wild bees by making bee hotels.  Bee hotels provide habitat to some of the common wild bees such as mason bees and leaf cutter bees that make their homes in small cavities they find in wood. Honey Bees And The Green New Deal

Marriedwithbees.com is all about bees and beekeeping.  I don’t make political statements because even though I have opinions I recognize that rational, educated people have different life experiences and different opinions.  That’s ok with me.  The bees don’t care.  Bees make honey for people of all political persuasion, and bees will sting without preference to political party.  I have been reading news article about H. Res. 109 (aka The Green New Deal) introduced by Representative Ocasio-Cortez, but today I decided to read the actual text of the resolution in order to see, “What’s in it for the bees?” Continue reading
